Well, we got one! at the N&B Owners Club’s first gathering in October. The venue was at “Travel World” in Telford Shropshire, the UK’s one and only importer of Niesmann and Bischoff’s luxury line-up of motorcaravans. Our group of twenty eight campers were represented by owners of up to fifteen years to one fortunate owner who had just been in their Arto for only that day. All had come from points of origin throughout the UK. Some just came for an overnight while most of us stayed on for all the festivities throughout the entire weekend. As good luck would have it we can honestly say that there was no mud, and just to add to that uncommon pleasantry there were electric hook-ups provided for everyone which made for a very comfortable stay. Our gracious hosts at “Travel World” plied us with lots of drinks and nibbles throughout the day and kept us safe within their guarded secure grounds at night. What more could we have asked for? It just doesn’t get any better than that!
Our first evening began with an impromptu candlelit get-together under the stars, then the wine began to flow and our many members found new friends straight away. Everyone found these seemingly industrial surroundings comfortable and elegant. The spacious site was impressive with the darkness of night broken only by the soft glow of light emanating from the luminous interiors of our tall glamorous vehicles aiding to an ambience filled with excitement and anticipation for the day to come.
On Saturday the mood became very relaxed as our members curiously browsed through the luxurious 2010 ARTO’s and FLAIR’s marvelling at all the impressive innovations and smart styling of these new models. There were many things to do throughout the day and “Travel World” attentively provided us with a shuttle and driver to carriage us to the many local Black Country attractions. While some of us took the day off to tour the countryside, others took the opportunity to have “Travel World’s” service technicians perform expert servicing, habitation checks and alterations at their on-site workshops.
For those of us who had no current need for these excellent facilities, there was also on offer a tour of their accessory shop or the carpentry shop which was opened to visitors to witness the quality of workmanship and indisputable attention to every detail. We gathered together that evening with a “Porky & Best” chef who prepared a fabulously delicious hog roast accompanied by tempting selections from the hot and cold buffet while the DJ mixed together many our favourite tunes. The clearing of the tables signalled the start of the well supported Raffle that had many of our members walking away with one of the numerous give-aways! The dining venue soon transformed into a disco and the rhythm soon had many of us making the most of it as we danced away well into the late hours. |
